Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every other weekend
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to patients with cardiac conditions such as CHF, MI, arrhythmias, and post-procedure recovery
- Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding quickly to changes
- Administer and titrate cardiac IV medications including nitroglycerin, Cardizem, and heparin
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of nurses, PCTs, and charge nurses in a 40-bed stepdown unit
- Float to MedSurg, other stepdown units, or ER holding as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license (compact license accepted)
- 2+ years of stepdown or progressive care experience
- Telemetry proficiency and comfort with cardiac drips
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with prostacyclins is a plus
Education
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong cardiac assessment and rhythm interpretation skills
- Expertise with Cerner EMR
- Ability to titrate IV cardiac medications safely
- Flexible, positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
