Registered Nurse - Palliative Care
Location: Carmichael, California
Start Date: 06-23-2026
End Date: 09-22-2026
Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, up to every other weekend, rotating holidays
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop patient daily lists and review charts
- Assess patient needs and open goals of care discussions
- Educate patients on disease process, advance directives, and POLSTs
- Hold family meetings and provide end-of-life support
- Attend daily rounds and manage a caseload of patients
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of recent experience in palliative and/or hospice setting
- BLS certification required, ELNEC preferred
- Strong acute care, clinical thinking, and communication skills
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills
Education
- RN license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Palliative care experience
- Cerner EMR
- BLS and ELNEC certifications
- Strong clinical thinking and communication skills
