Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, with on-call rotation including 1 weeknight per week and 1 weekend per month

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide perioperative nursing care for a variety of surgical procedures including orthopedics, GYN, general, urology, cardiothoracic, vascular, plastics, dental, eyes, pediatrics, spine, neuro, and trauma
Assist with advanced robotic surgeries using DaVinci SI, XI, and Mako systems
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Maintain a sterile field and manage surgical instruments and equipment
Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during procedures
Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of current acute care OR RN hospital experience
Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Experience with DaVinci Robotics preferred
Ortho, neurology, and vascular experience highly preferred
Prior Meditech experience a plus

Knowledge & Skills

Operating room nursing expertise
Proficiency in robotic surgery procedures
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to handle high-stress situations
Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
Knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques
