Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, rotating weekends and call required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $53 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as the circulating nurse across all surgical service lines, ensuring every patient receives safe, attentive care
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the surgical team to keep procedures running smoothly and efficiently
Prepare the operating room with the right equipment and supplies so every case starts on time and goes as planned
Advocate for patients throughout their surgical journey, providing comfort and clear communication before, during, and after procedures
Respond quickly and confidently during emergencies, helping maintain a calm and controlled environment
Document care accurately in Meditech so the entire care team stays informed and aligned

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
BLS certification required
At least 1 year of operating room experience as a circulator across multiple service lines
Strong clinical skills and the ability to work at a fast pace in a high-volume setting

Knowledge & Skills

Experience circulating in all surgical service lines except transplants
Familiarity with surgical equipment including the XI robot
Comfortable working with Meditech EMR
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
