Shift Type: Primarily day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (typical schedule; may be primarily Monday–Friday). Includes on-call expectations: two 12-hour call shifts per month and 3–4 evening 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM call shifts/month.

Candidate Pay Rate: $56.00 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care as a circulating or scrub RN in a multi-OR environment
• Prepare patients, rooms and instrumentation for a wide range of surgical procedures (angio, ortho/spine, general surgery)
• Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure compliance with OR policies and guidelines
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, CSTs and techs to promote efficient, patient-centered care
• Document intraoperative care accurately in Meditech and communicate handoffs clearly
• Participate in unit call rotations and support rapid response needs when scheduled

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (state license required)
• Minimum of 1 year of current hospital experience (perioperative experience preferred)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Circulating and/or scrubbing experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices and sterile technique
• Experience with standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems
• Comfort working 1:1 with surgical patients and adapting to varied case mixes
• Clear, calm communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to document care accurately in an EMR (Meditech experience a plus)
