Shift Type: Varies, 36 hours per week, potential for every third weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $54 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for obstetrics patients
Provide patient and family education on newborn care and postpartum recovery
Safely administer medications and IV therapy per protocols
Monitor fetal heart patterns and initiate appropriate interventions
Collaborate with physicians to manage labor, delivery, and recovery
Document all clinical data accurately and timely
Delegate and supervise nursing interventions as needed
Identify and report patient safety risks

Qualifications

Minimum one year of med/surg experience required
Maternity experience preferred
Current Massachusetts RN license
IV competent
CPR, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN certifications (or ability to obtain within specified timelines)

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and care planning
Fetal monitoring and interpretation
Newborn care and resuscitation
Postpartum and gynecological patient care
Medication administration and pain management
Effective communication and collaboration
Time management and prioritization
