Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients assigned to observation status and deliver skilled nursing care that follows the physician authorized plan of care
• Provide hands-on patient care including medication administration, treatments, answering call lights, assisting with transfers, and responding to alarms
• Evaluate how well the treatment plan is working and collaborate with the care team to update or revise it using the latest patient information
• Process physician and provider orders accurately, completely, and on time, so nothing slips through the cracks
• Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications to keep every patient safe and every detail covered
• Monitor outpatients closely and adjust care as their condition evolves, acting as their steady advocate throughout their stay

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Observation experience is required, so bring your seasoned eye for detail
• Active Michigan RN license verifiable through LARA and/or Nursys is required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification is required
• Epic EMR experience is preferred, and we would love it if you have it
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility, so this is perfect for travelers who love to explore
• A skills checklist current within one year specific to Observation
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years
• Complete work history ready to share with our team
