Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical care for neuroscience ICU patients, integrating all healthcare providers to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Develop and initiate the plan of care, including patient and family education
• Manage utilization and discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions
• Provide specialized care for neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury
• Collaborate with 24-hour neurointensivist and neuroscience acute care nurse practitioner coverage

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Hawaii
• Associate or Diploma in Nursing (Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred)
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification (or obtain within 3 months of hire)
• 12 months of ICU RN experience, preferably within the last 3 years

Education

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in Neuro ICU nursing and critical care
• Proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to manage complex neurological and critical care patients
