Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating every other weekend and holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $61 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a combined medical/telemetry/PCU unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate drips such as Amio, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitro
Manage patients with cardiac conditions including post-cath, EP studies, and pacer placements
Care for patients with acute-on-chronic conditions, sepsis, pneumonia, and COVID-19 on BiPAP
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe patient ratios (1:4-5 days, 1:5-6 nights)
Float as needed to PCU, MS, or ER holds to support hospital operations

Qualifications

Current BLS and ACLS certification required
Proven PCU experience and ability to read cardiac strips
Experience with telemetry and cardiac drips
First-time travelers welcome - we support your growth
Epic experience preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac rhythm interpretation and drip titration skills
Comfortable with telemetry monitoring and portable monitors
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying patient acuity
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Adaptability to float between units as helping hands
