Education

• Common diagnoses/Types of patients Congestive heart failure (CHF), hypertension, and chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, and pneumonia, COPD exacerbations, asthma, and pneumonia, Pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.
• Experience or 'Must have' skills NIHSS
• Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips analgesics for pain, anticoagulants for blood clots, and antihypertensives for blood pressure control
• Are there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes
• Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios 1:5
• RT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, Bi Pap, High Flow, vents, etc.) Cpap, Bi Pap, High Flow, vents,
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Self sceduling and Block
• Weekend Requirement Yes - Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, aligning with department needs, unit staffing plans, and ensuring equitable distribution among all staff
