• Ratios:
• EMR: Cerner power chart
• Charge Nurse: Yes-doesn’t typically take patients
• Nurse Aides: Yes unless pulled for sitters, 1:8-1:36 ratio depending on staffing
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holidays: Will rotate into perm staff rotation-expected to work holidays
• Scrub Color: RN- blue
• Tele: Must be able to read and interpret strips
• Nurse's Read Strips: must be able to read and interpret strips
• Drips:
• Vents: Bipap and CPAP
• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes- Sound physician hospitalist
• IV Team: None
• RT 24/7: Yes
• Pharmacy 24/7: Yes, 24/7
• Shifts: 0645-1915/1845-0715
• Floating: Yes to -must be able to float to tele/read interpret strips
• Floor specific orientation: 1 hr of orientation to show where stuff is- will not get a day of orientation on MS, will get a day of tele orientation- the highest level of care the nurse will work in
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: ESRD, DM, COPD, ETOH
• Specialty: Med Surg/Tele Float Pool
