Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours guaranteed per week, every other weekend and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 70

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care on a fast-paced Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding quickly to changes in patient condition
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans
Educate patients and families on post-discharge care and health management
Float to other units as needed, ensuring seamless care across the facility

Qualifications

At least 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
Telemetry experience and Basic Dysrhythmia course completion required
Active American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be in hand at profile upload)
Current Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
Willingness to float to other units and work every other weekend and holidays
Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment

Knowledge & Skills

Competent in medical-surgical nursing and telemetry monitoring
Experience with Meditech Expanse highly preferred
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
