Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, including rotating weekends

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to patients on a 34-bed Medical-Surgical unit
Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and recovery plans
Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate documentation and communication
Maintain patient safety and infection control standards

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of current acute care Med/Surg/Ortho experience
Active RN license in Kansas or compact state
BLS certification required
ACLS certification preferred
Experience with traction, spine, hip, and joint precautions a plus
Strong team player with a compassionate approach

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg nursing best practices
Orthopedic post-surgical care including total joint and spine procedures
Traction management and patient positioning
EMR proficiency with Meditech
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
