Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate exceptional patient care for adult and pediatric patients in a dynamic general Med/Surg unit
• Deliver comprehensive medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and pediatric care
• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with a talented interdisciplinary team to meet each patient's unique needs
• Provide holistic care that honors patients' age, physiological, spiritual, psychosocial, and developmental needs
• Partner closely with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor throughout your shift
• Serve as a steady, compassionate presence for patients and families during their hospital stay

Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN license or multistate RN licensure, in good standing
• At least 3 years of acute care experience
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Current ACLS certification, required prior to start
• Meditech experience is a plus and highly preferred
• Comfort caring for both adult and pediatric patients, since this unit sees occasional pediatric cases
• Reliable personal transportation, as public transit and rideshare are not available in the area
• All required credentials uploaded five business days before your start date
• Willingness to cover holidays as needed
