Education

• Common diagnosis / Types of patients Med Surg,
• Experience or 'Must have' skills nothing specific
• Are RN's required to titrate drips? yes-heparin
• Common titratable &/or set rate drips heparin
• Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? yes
• Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties? yes
• RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, Bi Pap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot? CPAP Hi flow
• Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RN's required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? same
• Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Per unit needs
• Weekend Requirements 4 weekends in 6 weeks
• Holiday Requirements 1 major 1 minor
• Is there Call or a Standby requirement? no
• Floating Requirements as needed
• Scrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs Provided? Navy
