Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients on a 20-bed medical-surgical unit
• Assess patient conditions and respond promptly to changing clinical needs
• Manage care for both medical-surgical adults and pediatric patients
• Support safe patient care while maintaining strong staffing ratios
• Assist with flu immunization clinics as needed
• Participate in staff meetings and facility orientation activities
• Float to qualified departments and provide patient care or task-based support when assigned
• Respond to call lights, phones, and other unit needs as appropriate

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license required
• Three years of medical-surgical nursing experience required
• One year of pediatric nursing experience required
• Comfort caring for both adult and pediatric patients
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
• Willingness to float to qualified departments
