Registered Nurse - Med-Surg/Oncology
Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Start Date: 08-10-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients in a Med‑Surg/Oncology setting
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech
- Provide acute stroke care and administer NIHSS assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality care
- Assist with chemotherapy administration and patient education
- Float to other Med‑Surg and Tele units as needed
- Maintain infection control and HAC prevention protocols
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with BLS and ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- Experience with stroke patient care
- Chemo experience a plus
