Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM), including every other weekend and holidays as required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric patients (over 15) in a fast-paced Med Surg ICU setting
Monitor and manage ventilators, titrate drips, and interpret telemetry strips
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including attendings, fellows, and residents
Respond to rapid response and code situations as a charge nurse
Float to other inpatient units excluding Maternity and NICU as needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license required to verify distance from facility
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility and not be employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity
Ability to pass an open-book exam on orientation skills with 90% or higher

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in ventilator management and telemetry interpretation
Experience with CRRT, Impella, balloon pump preferred but not required
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude and willingness to help others in a team environment
