Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to laboring patients and postpartum mothers and babies
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications and titrate IV drips such as Magnesium and Oxytocin
• Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care and resuscitation
• Educate families on postpartum recovery, newborn care, and feeding
• Float to MSP/ED as needed to provide one-on-one patient support
• Document all care accurately and completely in MEDITECH

Qualifications

• Active RN license (any state, compact accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• BSN preferred but not required
• Must pass respiratory fit test (no facial hair restrictions)

• Electronic fetal monitoring (OB Trace Vue)
• IV therapy and medication administration
• IV drip titration (Magnesium, Oxytocin)
• MEDITECH charting system
