Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to laboring moms and their growing families
• Monitor moms and babies with electronic fetal monitoring using the OB Trace Vue system
• Titrate drips such as Magnesium, Oxytocin, and other ordered medications with confidence
• Care for postpartum mom and baby couplets following AWHONN ratio guidelines
• Support neonatal patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow equipment
• Collaborate with providers, surgery, and charge nurses to keep every delivery safe and smooth
• Float to MSP and ED for helping hands and 1:1 patient sitting when needed
• Circumstance for the baby during C-sections alongside the surgical team

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing, with the ability to submit your license up front
• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery and postpartum experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Comfortable in a rural hospital setting with limited services and a NICU more than an hour away
• Able to work every third weekend and holidays as needed
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility and not be employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility
• Able to pass the facility fit test requirement, which means no facial hair that prevents a proper seal
• Ready with your requested time off up front, seven days or less per 13-week contract

Education

• NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation skills
• Confident titration of antepartum and labor drips like Magnesium and Oxytocin
• Solid understanding of AWHONN staffing and ratio guidelines
• Neonatal vent and CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow troubleshooting
• Teamwork, provider consistency, and clear communication
• Independence and critical thinking in a rural, resource-limited setting
• MEDITECH charting experience is a nice plus
