Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, includes rotating weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring mothers, newborns, and postpartum patients in a rural LDRP unit
Triage patients in the OB emergency department and manage active labor
Function as a baby catcher/transition nurse, attending deliveries and caring for newborns
Administer and titrate Pitocin as needed for labor management
Collaborate with on-call OBs and anesthesia providers to ensure safe deliveries
Assist with gynecological surgical patients as needed

Qualifications

Current RN license in Colorado or compact state
Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Proficient in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) care
Certified in ALS, NRP, and AWHONN EFM
Ability to triage patients and manage active labor
Experience with Pitocin titration

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices, including LDRP model
Skill in fetal monitoring interpretation (AWHONN EFM)
Ability to perform neonatal resuscitation (NRP)
Competency in maternal resuscitation (ALS)
Experience with Pitocin administration and titration
Strong assessment and triage skills
Ability to work independently in a rural hospital setting
