Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Every other weekend, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality labor and delivery nursing care to mothers and newborns
- Monitor fetal heart rates and assist with deliveries using AWHONN guidelines
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and support staff to ensure safe outcomes
- Educate patients and families on labor processes, newborn care, and postpartum recovery
- Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Iowa
- Current BLS certification
- NRP certification
- AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
- Minimum 0 years of experience; new graduates welcome
Knowledge & Skills
- Labor and delivery nursing best practices
- Fetal monitoring interpretation
- Neonatal resuscitation techniques
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams
- Electronic medical record documentation
