Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional one-on-one and two-patient care for laboring mothers through delivery and recovery
• Perform vaginal exams and fetal monitoring to keep moms and babies safe every step of the way
• Circulate C-sections and guide post C-section recovery with confidence and calm
• Support high-risk antepartum patients, including gestational hypertension and gestational diabetes
• Respond swiftly to obstetrical emergencies such as OB hemorrhage
• Care for newborns in their first hour of life, including breastfeeding support and initial latch
• Handle OB triage, OBED and MSE, plus outpatient testing like NST, CST and BPP
• Assist with versions, cervical cerclage and OP injections
• Float to Mother Baby when needed and collaborate with a tight-knit team
• Bring strong customer service and a positive attitude to every interaction

Qualifications

• Active California RN license required, so have that ready
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications
• Hands-on skills in fetal monitoring, vaginal exams and C-section circulating
• Comfort caring for both high-risk antepartum and newborn patients
• Willingness to float to Mother Baby as needed
• Scrub experience is a nice bonus
• NCC certification in Inpatient OB or EFM is preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent critical thinking skills in fast-moving situations
• Strong clinical judgment with laboring patients and obstetrical emergencies
• Familiarity with GE Novii and wired fetal monitors
• Experience with CPN and Meditech EMR
