Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to laboring mothers from admission through delivery and recovery
• Monitor fetal heart tones and contractions with continuous electronic fetal monitoring and NST
• Support couplet care, keeping mom and baby together through postpartum transition
• Manage labor progress, titrate medications, and perform cervical exams with confidence
• Jump into high-acuity moments, including McRoberts maneuvers and OB PACU recovery
• Collaborate with a strong team of charge nurses, staff RNs and OB techs across 11 labor beds, 4 OB Eval rooms, 2 OB PACU bays and 2 ORs
• Float to postpartum couplet care when needed and keep every family safe and supported
• Champion infant security protocols and unit guidelines to protect your smallest patients

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification is a must have
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications required
• Comfortable with couplet care and floating to postpartum
• Transition Nurse or baby catching experience is a wonderful plus
• A personality that thrives in organized chaos and loves caring for lots of patients
• Weekend availability to help fill unit needs
