Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to laboring mothers and newborns during vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and advanced fetal monitoring techniques
• Support high-risk pregnancies with immediate newborn care and resuscitation when needed
• Assist with procedures such as D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy in a fast-paced L&D unit
• Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, and the broader healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes
• Float to MFMU, MOMB, or NICU as needed to support the health system

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and immediate newborn care
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Current BLS/ALS certification
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
• Circulating experience is preferred - let us know if you have it!

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Fetalink
• Comfort using Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in high-pressure situations
• Adaptability and a positive attitude - you'll thrive in a busy, rewarding environment
