Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional, personalized care to laboring patients and support their birth preferences
• Monitors maternal and fetal status using IUPC, FSE, and fetal monitoring equipment
• Administer MgSO4 and manage postpartum hemorrhage utilizing the JADA system
• Circulate in the OR during cesarean sections and other surgical procedures
• Support couplet care to keep newborns at the bedside and promote breastfeeding
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of midwives, CRNAs, OBGYNs, and NICU staff to ensure safe deliveries
• Provide compassionate care in a 9-bed L&D unit with 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Current ACLS, BLS, NRP certifications
• Fetal monitoring certification
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Willingness to float to Mother/Baby or other departments as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in CPN and Meditech documentation systems
• Proficiency in circulating in the OR
• Knowledge of IUPC, FSE, MgSO4 administration, and postpartum hemorrhage management
• Experience with JADA system and nitrous oxide administration
• Understanding of patient choice and vaginal birth promotion
• Familiarity with Spinning Babies and STABLE is a plus
