Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs to ensure safe deliveries
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency interventions as needed
• Educate and empower new parents on newborn care, feeding, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized birth plans
• Document patient care accurately while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Ability to pass a background check and comply with health requirements
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expert knowledge of labor and delivery nursing practices
• Skilled in fetal heart monitoring and interpreting patterns
• Comfortable with electronic health records and documentation
• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations
• Compassionate bedside manner and patient advocacy
