Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, expert care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and recovery
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding quickly to any changes
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and high-risk obstetric procedures
• Deliver immediate newborn care, including resuscitation and assessment
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of nurses, physicians, and specialists to ensure the best outcomes
• Educate and empower new parents with confidence and support

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Valid RN license in North Carolina or compact state
• NRP certification required
• BLS/ALS certification required
• Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Experience with high-risk obstetrics and immediate newborn care
• Circulating experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
• Skill in high-risk obstetric care
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking abilities
• Knowledge of Cerner EMR and fetal monitoring systems
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable in fast-paced situations
