Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to mothers and babies during labor, delivery, and postpartum
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs, responding quickly to changes
• Assist with deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures
• Educate new parents on newborn care and breastfeeding
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, positive birth experiences
• Document care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications
• Labor and Delivery experience preferred, but passionate new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to meet all health screening requirements including PPD, vaccinations, and physical
• Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
• Knowledge of maternal and newborn care best practices
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach
