Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including high-risk pregnancies
• Assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures
• Monitor fetal heart tracings and maternal vital signs using advanced equipment
• Administer medications and interventions as ordered for labor management
• Support immediate newborn care, including resuscitation and assessment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, positive outcomes

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience
• Proficiency in high-risk obstetrics and immediate newborn care
• Must hold current NRP, BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
• Circulating experience preferred
• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in L&D procedures including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, and cerclage
• Experience with Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring
• Proficient in Cerner EMR and Fetalink
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Adaptable and outgoing personality to thrive in a fast-paced environment
