Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Monitor fetal heart rates and maternal vital signs using GE fetal monitors
• Manage antepartum, postpartum, and newborn patients with a focus on safety and compassion
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes for mothers and babies
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech and CPN EMR systems
• Participate in patient education on newborn care and postpartum recovery

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Current and unrestricted RN license in Virginia or compact state eligible
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certifications required
• Experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes preferred
• Must be able to start within a few weeks of offer

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in fetal monitoring interpretation and interventions
• Strong understanding of labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal deliveries and C-sections
• Ability to manage multiple patients and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Comfortable with Meditech and CPN EMR systems
