Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days or nights, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients
Monitor and manage medication drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Assist with deliveries and provide immediate newborn care
Educate new mothers on breastfeeding and postpartum recovery
Collaborate with a supportive team in a Blue Distinction+ recognized unit

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS and NRP certifications required
Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
Valid driver's license (required at submission)
Ability to pass an open-book exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Labor and delivery nursing skills including antepartum and postpartum care
Proficiency in titrating medications (Pitocin, Magnesium, etc.)
Strong patient education and communication skills
Understanding of AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
