Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts rotating days/nights, 4 shifts per week, including every other weekend and holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU and PCU settings
Titrate and manage vasoactive drips including Levophed, amiodarone, heparin, and propofol
Float between ICU and PCU as needed to ensure adequate staffing coverage
Monitor telemetry and collaborate with intensivists and hospitalists for optimal patient outcomes
Maintain safe patient ratios and respond to changes in patient acuity
Support cardiac patients post-CABG or PCI, sepsis, DKA, and respiratory failure cases

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas
ACLS and BLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
Experience with titratable drips and cardiac monitoring
Ability to work a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical care assessment and intervention skills
Proficiency in titrating IV medications and managing ventilators
Excellent telemetry interpretation and ECG rhythm recognition
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
Effective team communication and collaboration
