• # beds: 20 beds
• Certs: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH
• Ratios: 1 to 2, may be 1 to 1

• Nurse Aides: Yes - one on from 5-5:30pm, they will do blood draws, ekg's and other tech duties
• Weekend Requirement: every other weekend
• Holidays: they will work in with their perm staff rotation (will typically be required to do one major and one minor)
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Tele/Monitor Techs: Phillips - no monitor tech, nurses are required to read strips
• Drips : Yes - vaso, levophed, norepinephrine, dobutamin, dopamin, propofol, fentanyl, etc.

• Hospitalist or Intensivist in house: Yes - on call after hours, hospitalist is shared between SJRMC and SJPVH

• Shifts: 12 hr shifts, 7am-7:30pm, 7pm-7:30am, self scheduling but not always guaranteed
• Floating: Yes - they will have to float to IMCU (stepdown) or Observation
• Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts of orientation
• Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Neuro surgery - craniotomies, carotids, ventriculostomies, ICP monitoring, open heart, post caths, impellas, balloon pumps - travelers can take if they have experience and can validate skills , NO CRRT OR ECMO
• Additional Notes: Must have at least 3 years' experience in the ICU. Travel experience is preferred. Cerner experience is preferred. Manager would like candidates who have general ICU experience, however, if there is a candidate with neuro or cardiac specific experience they will entertain possibly taking them on for travel contract.
