Shift Type: Night shift (NOC), 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week, every other weekend

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, round-the-clock care for critically ill ICU patients
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and advanced life support equipment
• Administer medications, CPAP/BiPAP, and therapeutic phlebotomy treatments
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and adjust patient care plans
• Document accurately in Meditech Expanse and advocate for patients and families
• Float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed to support the hospital team

Qualifications

• Active nursing license in good standing, with compact if indicated
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Current NIH certification, renewed annually
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital setting
• Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, port access, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Preferred: chest tubes, NG tubes, wound VAC, drains, central lines, blood transfusion, and ventilator skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Proficiency with ICU equipment: Philips telemetry, Baxter pumps, ventilators
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Compassionate patient care with a focus on patient experience
