Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles
- Manage critically ill patients with compassion and clinical excellence in a 6-bed ICU
- Collaborate with the care team to maintain optimal nurse-to-patient ratios of 2:1 or 3:1
- Float to Med Surg when needed to support hospital-wide patient care
- Complete medication testing and orientation to ensure seamless integration into the team
Qualifications
- Active Alaska state RN license
- Minimum 3 years of recent ICU experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- PALS or ENPC certification required before start
- Experience with EPIC charting preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- ICU nursing expertise with hands-on critical care experience
- Proficiency with Meditech and Pyxis Supply Stations
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to float to Med Surg as needed
