Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to trauma, cardiac, and stroke patients in a 33-bed ICU
Titrate cardiac drips, insulin, and sedation as needed
Interpret ECG and telemetry strips with monitor oversight
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including respiratory therapy and nursing aides
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed with appropriate patient ratios
Ensure patient safety and adherence to protocols including artificial nail policy

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
Driver's license required for radius verification
Willingness to comply with facility policies including fingernail and exam requirements

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in titrating cardiac and sedation drips
Proficiency in ECG interpretation and telemetry monitoring
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
