Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, titrate drips, and manage ventilators
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Administer medications, perform assessments, and document patient progress
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass open-book exam to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license (used to verify 50-mile radius rule)
Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in critical care nursing, including cardiac drips and sedation
Proficient in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Knowledge of ventilator management and high-flow oxygen devices
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate drips and manage complex patient populations
