Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in a 33-bed ICU
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, titrate cardiac and sedation drips
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage trauma, cardiac, stroke, and sepsis patients
Perform admissions, assessments, and interventions for adults with complex medical conditions
Float to PCU or MedSurg as needed, maintaining appropriate patient ratios
Participate in orientation and pass an open-book skills exam to ensure competency

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to meet 50-mile radius rule
Willingness to comply with facility policies, including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and ability to titrate multiple IV drips
Proficiency in interpreting telemetry and cardiac rhythms
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage high-acuity patients with various diagnoses
Competency with GE monitors and electronic health records
