Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to patients in the Float Pool across Med-Surg, Telemetry, Step Down, and ICU units.
• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques and state regulations.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and execute individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and/or Cardiac Telemetry experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Willingness to float to Med-Surg as needed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Strong cardiac and critical care skills
• Proficiency in Point Click EMR
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple patient care needs in a fast-paced environment
