Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating days and nights; 6-9 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Serve as Charge Nurse for ICU float pool, overseeing patient care and unit operations
Respond to codes and rapid responses throughout the hospital
Float to multiple facilities within Zone 3 (Denver metro area) as needed
Titrate critical drips including pressors, sedation, paralytics, and antiarrhythmics
Interpret telemetry strips and manage cardiac monitoring independently
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; 3+ years preferred for first-time travelers
Prior charge nurse experience required
Active RN license in Colorado or compact state eligible
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Epic experience preferred; travel experience a plus
Must live at least 60 miles from all assigned facilities or be willing to relocate

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in managing ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
Comfortable with all critical drips and titration
Strong telemetry interpretation skills
Ability to flex up to 1:3 patient ratio based on acuity
Excellent communication and leadership skills for charge role
