Registered Nurse - Emergency Room
Location: Hartford, CT

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week, every other weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
- Triage patients quickly and efficiently to prioritize care
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to create care plans
- Monitor patients closely and respond to changes in condition
- Manage ED holds with patience and professionalism
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
Qualifications
- Active RN license required
- Current BLS, PALS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Previous emergency room nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend
- Comfortable handling ED holds and high-acuity patients
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols and triage systems
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to stay calm and focused in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency with electronic health records
