Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (15:00 - 03:00), every other weekend, every other holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care across multiple facilities in the Colorado Springs Zone 1 area
Float between Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Medical Center, St. Francis InterQuest, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas More
Rapidly assess and stabilize patients presenting with a wide range of conditions, from trauma to stroke
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-acuity care
Adapt quickly to different unit layouts, protocols, and team dynamics
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
Must be willing to float within a 60-mile radius zone
Comfortable with 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend/holiday schedule

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills
Proficiency in emergency procedures, including trauma and stroke protocols
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work in fast-paced environments with varying patient volumes
Flexible and adaptable to different facility cultures
