Location: College Station, Texas

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, day and night starting at 6:45 AM/PM, mid-shifts at 9, 11, 1, 3; every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Manage critical patients including trauma, cardiac, stroke, and pediatric cases
Administer medications, IV drips, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with physicians and mid-levels to ensure optimal outcomes
Interpret cardiac rhythms independently and respond to changes
Float to other units when needed, offering support where it's most needed

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room experience
Active RN license in Texas or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Must pass Advanced Dysrhythmia test (83%) before start
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Ability to work every other weekend and holidays as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in managing all common ER drips (pressors, sedation, etc.)
Skilled in reading and interpreting telemetry strips
Experience with pediatric, cardiac, stroke, and trauma patients
Comfortable with ventilator troubleshooting and high-flow oxygen
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
