Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Location: College Station, Texas

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 09-28-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts starting at 6:45 AM or 6:45 PM, including midshifts at 9, 11, 1, and 3. Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Level III Trauma Center
Perform advanced dysrhythmia interpretation and EKG monitoring
Triage patients and manage fast track and critical care rooms
Administer common ED drips including pressors and sedation
Collaborate with physicians and mid-levels in a 24/7 in-house MD environment
Care for holds and psych patients with support from security and placement teams
Train and mentor new team members as a travel nurse

Qualifications

2 years of Emergency Room experience required
First-time travelers are welcome to apply
Must pass an advanced dysrhythmia test (83%) before contract start - three attempts given
Strong call-out policy for schedule reliability

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency Nursing and Triage expertise
EKG interpretation and dysrhythmia monitoring
Proficient in common emergency drips and ventilator troubleshooting
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:3-4 nurse-to-patient ratio
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
