Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to emergency department patients
• Triage and assess acute presentations, initiating timely interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to ensure seamless patient flow
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMR
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as needed

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa (or compact license)
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing
• Up‑to‑date immunizations and health screenings as listed
• Strong communication and critical‑thinking abilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency department triage and assessment protocols
• Advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support
• Trauma nursing core course (TNCC) principles
• Stroke assessment using NIHSS
• Electronic medical record documentation
