Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Start Date: 09-28-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM - 7:00 PM (24-hour shift)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide critical emergency care to patients in a fast-paced environment
- Manage patient flow and triage to ensure timely treatment
- Perform emergency procedures and interventions as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech
- Adhere to unit protocols and quality standards
- Support and mentor junior staff and new hires
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- ACLS certification
- BLS certification
- PALS certification
- CPI certification
- Chest pain and Stroke certification
- Strong sepsis and stroke skillsets
- Experience in a 19-bed ED with a 4-bed psych pod
Knowledge & Skills
- Chest pain management
- Stroke protocols
- Advanced cardiac life support
- Basic life support
- Pediatric advanced life support
- Cardiac point-of-care imaging
- Use of Hillrom, Stryker, GE equipment
- Lifepak defibrillator operation
- Meditech documentation system
- Sepsis management
