Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate emergency care to patients with a wide range of conditions
• Triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care based on acuity
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
• Document patient assessments, vital signs, and responses to treatment
• Provide patient and family education and emotional support during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in Iowa or a compact state
• BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
• Previous emergency department nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every third weekend
• Must pass background check and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong triage and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of emergency nursing protocols, including trauma and cardiac care
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
• Proficiency with electronic health records and documentation
• Teamwork and collaboration in a fast-paced environment
