Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (days/nights), every other weekend, rotating holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity
Manage trauma cases, STEMIs, strokes, and critical interventions
Perform central line placement, MTP, chest tube insertion, and advanced dysrhythmia monitoring
Administer IV drips including Diltiazem, Cardene, Nitro, Propofol, Fentanyl, and Levophed
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a Level III Trauma and Primary Stroke Center

Qualifications

Must have 2 or more years of recent ED experience in a similar volume and acuity setting
Valid RN license in Texas or compact state
Comfortable with central line placement, MTP, chest tubes, trauma, STEMI, and stroke care
Must pass the Advanced Dysrhythmia exam (83%) within three attempts before signing contract

Knowledge & Skills

BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications
Proficient in PulseCheck and Picis EMR systems
Experience with rapid transfusion, intubated patients, and chest tubes
Strong critical thinking and ability to manage high-acuity patients
Ability to float between Bryan and College Station campuses
