Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver expert, compassionate care to a fast-paced acute emergency population
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient flow to keep the department moving
• Respond confidently to trauma activations and coordinate resuscitation efforts
• Manage airway and respiratory procedures including ventilator initiation and monitoring
• Administer critical medications, continuous infusions, and blood products per protocol
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, run 12-lead ECGs, and respond to code blue events
• Activate sepsis, stroke, and STEMI alerts and carry out time-sensitive interventions
• Place and manage IVs, including ultrasound-guided lines, and assist with central and arterial access
• Support patients and families with clear education and genuine kindness
• Document accurately in Meditech and collaborate closely with the care team

Qualifications

• Current RN license in good standing
• At least 2 years of acute care emergency nursing experience
• Expertise in caring for an acute patient population
• Experience charting with Meditech
• ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• TNCC, ENPC, NIH, and CPI certifications required
• Trauma center experience preferred and moves your application to the front of the line
• A can-do attitude, lots of energy, and a great sense of teamwork
• Excellent communication skills and a genuinely kind approach to patients

• Emergency nursing practice and trauma resuscitation
• Advanced cardiac monitoring, defibrillation, and vasopressor titration
• Pediatric emergency procedures and Broselow tape utilization
• Level II trauma center protocols including massive transfusion
• Neurological assessments and NIH stroke scale scoring
• Violence and restraint management with behavioral emergency interventions
• Wound care, splinting, and orthopedic reduction assistance
• Strong interpersonal skills and calm decision making under pressure
